Steroid Information

Illegal Steroids

There is often a topic of public confusion regarding steroids; most believe all steroids are illegal steroids but the truth of the matter is quite different. As it pertains to steroids in general we have legal steroids, illegal steroids and illegal steroids that can become legal; sounds confusing but it’s actually very simple. When people think of steroids normally they only think of anabolic steroids but truth be told there are hundreds of steroids found naturally in both plants and mammals; even cholesterol itself is classified as a steroid. As it pertains to administered steroids in medical practice we are generally left with two prominent types, anabolic steroids and corticosteroids.

Illegal Steroids:

Anabolic steroids do not represent a class of illegal steroids per say but rather a class of controlled drugs. This simply means, if you possess anabolic steroids with a prescription you are within the safety of the law. If you possess these same anabolic steroids without a prescription they automatically become illegal steroids. Granted, there are some anabolic steroids that fall into the illegal steroids category regardless of a prescription but in general the above is accurate. Anabolic steroids such as Trenbolone are generally classified as illegal steroids as it pertains to human use; however, with regards to livestock these types of anabolic steroids become legal; Equipoise is another prime example of this category.

Illegal Steroids & the Law:

Depending on where you live this will vary; in some countries anabolic steroid possession is legal regardless of a prescription but in countries such as the U.S. possession of illegal steroids can carry a stiff penalty. In the United States, simple possession of anabolic steroids is classified as a felony. Simple possession of illegal steroids can lead to up to one year in prison as well as a fine of $1,000 minimum. If you are charged with possession of illegal steroids and it is your first offense there is a chance you may escape jail time but it has become increasingly easy for prosecutors to deem the individual as one who possessed with the intent to sell. If you fall in this category the amounts of illegal steroids you possess can easily send you to this end, you will indeed face much stiffer probabilities.

The Bottom Line:

If you desire to use anabolic steroids, doing so without resting in the realm of the law can produce the most unwanted negative side-effect of all. The possible negative side-effects of anabolic steroid use such as Gynecomastia, acne, hair loss, etc. pale in comparison to the side-effect of incarceration. Always and we do mean ALWAYS, consult your physician before you begin use, develop a plan and get that piece of paper that makes you legal; of all the things you need for a successful anabolic steroid cycle none are more important than this piece of paper.
